DESIGNS & TRADEMARKS
Longhorn Wrestling
During my years running the administrative side of the Longhorn Wrestling Team, I was given the opportunity to design, manufacture, and distribute the Team’s clothing and gear.
I worked directly with Austin Screen Printing, the National Collegiate Wrestling Association, and the Office of Brand, Trademarks and Licensing at The University of Texas.
I had a $10,000 budget that the Team raised through membership dues and fundraising with 40 Hours for the Forty Acres.
40 Hours for the Forty Acres
“40 Hours for the Forty Acres is The University of Texas at Austin’s biannual day of giving. For 40 hours, UT alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends come together to support the people, places and pursuits that mean the most to them, amplifying their impact through the power of Longhorn Nation.”
As an Official 40 for Forty Ambassador and Campus Partner, I had a direct role in managing the campaign for the Team. We received over $3,000 from 44 individuals and an additional $10,000 in unaffiliated donations.
What starts here changes the world. What starts here starts with you.

Designing
I stuck true to the schools colors and designed with a sleek, minimalistic, and clean image in mind. I made my mockups through Canva and Procreate.
Through this process, I was able to create the first line of shorts, sweats, windbreakers, and gear bags in Longhorn Wrestling history.
Trademarking
Working together with the Office of Brand, Trademarks, and Licensing, I ensured that the designs complied with the university's guidelines, which resulted in receiving approval for over 15 designs!
Manufacturing
After receiving approval for the designs, I worked with Austin Screen Printing (ASP) to explore fabric options, compare embroidery and screen printing, evaluate different clothing brands, and determine the cost per item. The singlets were produced by NCWA Gear to ensure that they met the standards set by NCWA.
To complete the process, we first transferred the trademarked designs to ASP within our organization. We then collected invoices for RecSports Officials, verified proofs and order counts, exchanged numerous emails (special thanks to George Ellis for being so patient), approved test prints, picked up and inspected multiple boxes of clothing, and processed payments for the invoices.
Distributing
After distributing the clothing and gear to our wrestling team members, we were finally able to travel across the state in style.
